Your bridal details will be where we begin our photography on your wedding day. We know the weeks leading up to the big day may be hectic. Breathe deeply and find your happy place because we are here to share our checklist and some tips to help ensure we get off to a great start photographing your bridal details.
What to Bring
Dress (on a wood hangar)
Veil | Hair Pieces
Rings (all three)
Shoes
Bouquet & Boutonniere
Jewelry
Clutch
Perfume
Invitation Suite
Borrowed & Blue
If possible, collect all of the above bridal details before we arrive to your “getting ready” location. We like to arrive, say hello, introduce ourselves to your bridal party and family, give you a huge hug, and then begin with your bridal details. The quicker we can get started, the more time we will have for “getting ready” shots of you and your girls!
Stylish TIP
Visit a local craft store to purchase an inexpensive, but oh so cute, storage box to collect and bring the above to your getting ready location. There are many cute and stylish designs to choose from so you are sure to find one that matches your theme colors and wedding style. Not only are these WAY cuter than a plastic tote, they are a GREAT background for us to use when photographing your jewelry, invitations, and other small bridal details!
Background TIP
Speaking of backgrounds, when you arrive at your “getting ready” location, it is very helpful if a lovely little area in front of a window, or dressing table, etc. can be kept clear of clutter like water bottles or trash. These spots make wonderful backgrounds for us to photograph you and your girls.
Getting Ready TIP
It is helpful to have your girls dressed and ready to go before it is time for you to get into your dress. Being surrounded by your girls in their gorgeous gowns as you put your finishing touches on is a timeless and elegant photo that we know you will love to have! Also, hold off putting your jewelry on until after you are in your dress so that we can capture this special bridal detail moment. We also recommend that if you are having a First Look, to save the veil for your ceremony. The addition of the veil for the ceremony gives those photos and the portraits after that extra special something!
Timing TIP
By now, you have probably heard from us many times to ADD CUSHION TIME! Tuck in 10-15 minutes here and there through your timeline to give some wiggle room when the unexpected happens (and it does). Rest assured that we will be flexible and supportive!
Above all, remember to enjoy your day together!!
Happy Planning!
